Salts Mill

Salts Mill outside of Leeds has been converted from its former glory as an industrial mill to a shopping centre come art gallery. There is a permanent David Hockney exhibition with many prints on sale and also a temporary Yorkshire Fashion Archive exhibition.

The homeware shop was a very interesting part of the shopping centre, they stock contemporary objects such as this emergency fold out chair and umbrellas with a gold club on the end.

Nice Nikes

These are amazing! A brilliant extension of the Nike brand.

Ab Fab

I have fond memories of watching this programme with my mum and laughing at the inappropriateness of it all, and her laughing even more at what she was letting me watch. It was a programme with a large emphasis on the mother daughter relationship which was why I think it enjoyed watching it so much. Unlike the majority of children my age I was not receiving birthday cards with animals on but talking Ab Fab cards telling me to 'pop open the bolly dahhling' accompanied by box sets of the show.

Stumble Upon

My friend told me about a great website, perfect for those professional procrastinators amongst us. The idea is that you pick categories of interest to you and the site provides interesting facts and pictures related to that topic. It is an interesting concept, brilliant for expanding your knowledge and filling in dull moments.

Leeds

I entered this competition and submitted a photograph I took whilst walking in Leeds at night. My work is in the top 30 entrants and will be featuring in an exhibition at paper scissor stone in Leeds next week.
